Saw this on another forum -

Leading poker brands Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) and Genting Alderney have signed a 3 year partnership agreement to provide own branded poker services to DTD.

The contract will see Genting provide a ‘white label’ of its GentingPoker.com site to Dusk Till Dawn so that players can benefit from the market leading liquidity of iPoker the world’s largest poker network. The DTD branded web site is expected to be live within the next week.

Genting Alderney will provide DTD players with access to more online satellites and some of the biggest land based tournaments in Europe including the £1million Genting Poker Series.

Commenting on the agreement, Peter Nolan, Managing Director, Genting Alderney said, “We are delighted to be working with Dusk Till Dawn who have a loyal and complementary customer base. DTD are a proven and innovative operator and share our vision of poker as an online and live game. DTD are a perfect addition to our portfolio of poker brands which already includes Genting Poker, Encore Poker and Circus Poker”.

Rob Yong, DTD Managing Director said ”Working with Genting, one of the top global gaming brands, means we have a cost effective route for our players to access more games and continue with the best possible service for DTD customers. Online poker remains an increasingly competitive market and access to iPoker through Genting means we can offer a broader range of events tailored to the needs of our customer base.”

For your info, the Ipoker option is now available and you can download and play on the new DTD skin.

A couple of oddities I discovered:

If you already have a Genting account (which most of us do), it decides you are a multi-accounter and won`t let you in unless you register with a different email address. Seems a bit pathetic, but easy to circumvent once you know.

Also, there is no facility to transfer your account from DTD`s Boss site, which continues to run. Bizarrely, you can have them both up on screen at once. Shocked

You have to make a fresh deposit and start with a new screen name etc. Once again, seems a bit pathetic. Not sure how long the old site will remain open and whether we should withdraw our cash from there. No doubt they will tell us once we have all had time to get sufficiently confused. Very Happy

Probably easier to withdraw and redeposit at least they cant "lose" your money like betfair did with me.

So if the new site is part of Genting and not independant like before does Genting own DTD's ass now and is there a chance of them taking over the club itself?

I'm sure I read on another forum that the boss site will remain live until June, easiest option is to withdraw your money from there and deposit it on new site, however if you do not wish to do this you can contact DTD customer services and they will arrange the funds to be transferred.

More info on the deal and info on how to get set up if you have an existing account on Genting or other ipoker skins on Rob Yongs' blog;

Quite happy with this, as I will play more DTD satellites for their bigger events now - the software they currently use is the worst I have played on.

I dont know why people are mostly happy with this move because ipoker is surely one of the least reliable networks from a software point of view. Constant freezing, lobby always wrong, and total screw ups like the las vegas team challenge not running on monday. Credibility zero. When you consider the fact that some of the players on there will happily get it all in with middle pair and always get there on the river - then tell you how good they are - its a waste of time as far as Im concerned. If anything, I am likely to play LESS satellites for DTD.

Lol yeah the lobby thing is annoying - I was playing a feeder satellite at the weekend and thought I needed to jam all in to get into the prize places - turned out we were actually on the bubble and I already was. Guess whether it got through? Sad Sad Sad

I agree. The Ipoker lobby thing is very unsatisfactory, and it`s been like that for ages. It can be deeply frustrating when you are playing a satellite. Since one`s main interest in DTD`s online offer is likely to be the satellites, it`s a pretty fundamental problem, imo.

Couldn't agree more with this post, Definately a "out of the frying pan, into the fire" situation with this move from Boss. I cannot understand why so many companies are moving to iPoker when there software is total rubbish. If you want to play any satellites, apart from joining the thousands on Pokerstars, the choice is desperate.
