Why oh why bother, Resorts world looks like my preferred venue along with DTD.

OK, but Genting have no online qualifiers, and Party/DTD change the structure and/or timing of their online satellites about once a week so that you never know what the hell is going on.

Grosvenor win in that respect, if not in others, with a solid online qualifying programme for the GUKPT/2525/Goliath/Seasonals.

Genting may have dropped a bollock by having no online presence to feed their GPS events, but if Resortsworld can run a £43+£5 tournament with three starting days and a £15,000 guarantee (as they are doing next week, in competition with Coventry's Deepstack) they dont really need online satellites?

Good online satellites for poor value comps doesn't make Grosvenor winners in my opinion. And I'm almost resigned to never playing at DTD again, partly because I detest everything about Partypoker, but also because. DTD has shifted a long way away from Rob Yong's original philosophy and his vision for the venue, and not in a good way.

They all have their good and bad points imo.  I like Resorts World well enough, Dave, but it annoys me that I finish up parking my car in the next county every time there is a show next door.

I can agree with most comments on the above, but what exactly are G Casino up to I’ve just read they now pay over lays in vouchers?

Panfried I do understand your loyalty to G but no poker players are that loyal to put up with there current offerings. Cash games nights only etc etc especially for Cov on a Friday night for God’s sake. Once you stop going it’s my opinion you very often never go back.

DTD do have an offering every night of the week and I have enjoyed my recent experiences at Resorts World, yes the parking can be awkward and I’ll put up with that for a decent game and a good experience.

Where did you read that, m8 ?  I have heard players talking about it, but I haven`t seen the source info.

EDIT - found it on Facebook.  I notice that it says this applies to "local" tournaments.  It would be good to have a definition of what "local" means in this context.  If it means that the new Deepstack and the 25/25, GUKPT etc are all excluded from this foolishness, it won`t make much difference to most of us, I suspect.  The Grosvenor casinos in our area don`t tend to have much else that`s worth our time anyway.

S2 Carpark should be open from now on, as it was occupied by Moscow State Circus for the Christmas period. Also Elf the musical was occupying a large amount of multi-story spaces and also christmas shoppers. Should return to normal until Crufts and Horse of the year.
