You have to buy in via your Party Poker account, Andy.  It`s a DTD/Party event and the casino is just supplying a roof over the top - they don`t handle your cash.

Therefore, it`s probably easier to buy in before you leave home.  However, I believe Party do provide a minion with a laptop at the casino who will register you if you have forgotten.

Do these usually have an overlay? And do they deduct rake from the prize pool?

Overlay is unpredictable.  As far as I remember, the last one at Broadway Plaza made the guarantee, but there have been some at other venues which didn`t.  As always with any tournament, turnout will be influenced to some extent by what else is on.  There is a GPS Mini at Luton this weekend, but I can`t recall any big comp in the immediate area.

I think the breakdown of the entry cost is $100 + $9, so $9 reg fee.

I managed to scrape through with 200k (80BB) last night Cool

Was scrabbling around with 80k for a while and then we hit the last level and down to be table. I ran back into my foe who called a 3 bet earlier with Q3 and a called a Cbet on a 953 flop. My ak did not improve as it was checked down  Evil or Very Mad

Well back to the action. I decided that I wanted to make a move with ten mins to go. Mid table open with 2.5x and with the above villain in the SB I flatted with A5 suited. The villain repops to 10x making the initial raiser to fold. As planned a shove for 50x and to my horror the villain snaps me off with.........KQ.

Obviously ace high holds and scoops the pot and I double up

The table takes the piss out of the villain. He claims that he was price in to call vs A5. Pot odds pot odds. Claimed to not know what we were taking about when vs my range was questioned as I did not have a range I had A5

Good luck all

Probably see you there later, Mike.  I got through online earlier in the week, but I have only got 30 BB Sad

I had a frustrating time in the later stages of my Day One flight.  Did well initially and was chipleader from about Level 4 to 9, but then went stone cold card dead and fell backwards in the last three levels.

Depending on the range you put me on, the call is not bad from ev but from icm, not sure it is wise to try to get from 80 Bb to 120 and risk ending up with 40.

Biggest fear for kq is qq,kk,ak,aq,AA. For me only ak,aq are in my range and he has blockers to both.

24 combos where is is crushed - 33% ish I think

Then all suited aces and pocket pairs where he is flipping. 40 suited aces and 54 pocket pairs ( also taking JJ out of my range).

24/118 : 30%
94/118: 50%

So he is probably 46% vs my range. Not such a bad call.

He called 80 to win 200. 40%

( no calculator used) so apologies for errors

Keep going, Mike.  You can still take it down.

Not my day.  I suffered two beats in all-in situations and was out within the first hour.  Sad
