Grosvenor Stoke Charity Event 27th May - Ben Perry Memorial

on 2016-05-25, 14:14
Grosvenor Casinos (Stoke) are hosting a charity evening in memory of Sean Perry's son, Ben, who recently passed away at a desperately young age.

Sean will be known to many players in the Birmingham and Nottingham areas, as well as Stoke, and we hope this event will be well attended.

All proceeds are going to the Donna Louise Trust.

27th May
7pm start
Last entries 9pm
Tournament will be £15 + £10 entry
10k starting stack
£10 Add-on for 10k chips

All registration fees plus 50% of the add-ons will be donated.

The remaining 50% of the add-ons and the entry stakes will make up the prize pool.

A free buffet will be provided at the break for all poker players.

After we set the time for 8pm which is the normal start time, somehow it was put out as 7pm. Any way that aside we had 43 players, hit the guarantee. Had 22 Raffle prizes, all good quality prizes. The winner received a silver salver.there was also a trophy for the best hand. there was also 8 bounty prizes.including a seat in the DTD grand prix tour event and a seat at Hill st in the Monthly £50. there was also 3 X £20 cash bounties which was like having another £200 altogether in the pot. We raised aroun £900 for the Donna Louise Childrens Hospice and it was a cracking night all around. Thanks to DAn from DTD for turning up as a bounty,Jon Baker from Hill st.It was also good of Rich Wooton from Resorts World for turning up and supporting the event,He went away with a booby prize of four toilet rolls for his donation of 4 re-entries and an add on. First Player out after the break was Chris Harvey who won the booby prize of 40 bog rollls. James Hardwicke Finished 2nd to Danny, but as Danny was the bounty James will be playing in the Grand Prix.Top Hand was Quad aces.
A big thank you to all who donated and played and it was good to see some old faces who turned out just to play the event.
