PKR moves to Microgaming network

Post  Panfried on 2016-03-06, 08:13

Apparently, from March 7th, PKR will join the Microgaming Network and link into their player pool while still retaining their own distinctive 3D appearance.  A clever trick if it works properly.

I received this email:

We’re evolving!

Tomorrow is a big day. Our Poker site is expanding, offering 6 times more players for you to beat and over €10 Million in monthly prizes for you to win. Our Casino will also be evolving, giving you a shot at millions in world record jackpots, with all games playable at your convenience and on all your favourite devices.

Before you log in tomorrow, here’s what you need to know:

 • If you already have PKR Poker or Casino on your computer, it will update automatically.

 • You’ll be requested to log into the PKR website and accept our latest Terms & Conditions before you play.

 • Depending on your location, your account balance may now be in a more suitable currency. Casino games will be played in your account currency. All Poker games will now be played in euros.

 • You may be required to create via your poker client a nickname (called ‘Alias’) that will be displayed at the Poker tables. Your Alias will be changeable once per month (or every 1,000 raked hands). If the alias is already taken on the Microgaming network, we will ask you to choose a different one.

 • Your deposit limits will change to the default Microgaming limits, but you can change them from the new Responsible Gaming page in your My Account.

 • For security reasons we are not transferring your payment method details over to the Microgaming network, so you will need to re-enter them in your new Banking page.

 • We will replace any active bonuses, tournament tickets, and loyalty points for new rewards of the same value.

 • There may be minor delays in processing withdrawals made on the 7th March.

We know that’s a few hoops to jump through but we guarantee it’ll be worth it.

We hope you’ll join us tomorrow for our most exciting day in years!

The PKR team

Seems a bit bizarre, Microgaming, or MPN as they now like to be called, isn't exactly the fastest growing network.

Though I do fancy a crack at one of the MPN tour events one of these days Smile

Me too, but as far as I can see neither PKR nor Grosvenor (who went the same way recently) is carrying the qualifiers for those.

My other Microgaming skin is the donkeys who (as mentioned in another thread) don`t accept I am over 18.  Shocked

I knew nothing about this! It must have been just after I was talking to support on another matter. My new Microgaming Grosvenor account seems to be missing a £550 GUKPT token plus a 25/25 token. I'd best get on to support to find out WTF is happening!

Yes, I had 25/25 tokens which have vanished during the conversion process.

There was an online FAQ which I scanned briefly.  As far as I recall, it said that the tokens would continue to be available for use at appropriate live events.  Presumably the cardrooms have a hardcopy list.

Unfortunately, the link to the FAQ (which was sent to me in an email) doesn`t seem to work now.
